Affina Biotechnologies is dedicated to excellence in helping our customers develop measurements of activities, kinetics and affinities of interactions and concentrations of biomolecules. We offer a unique mix of label-free and label-dependent assay technologies supported by scientific and technical expertise and a wide range of instrumentation:

Affina scientists will work with you on developing custom-built measurements and screens that are tailored to your requirements. Once a method is developed and validated we will help you transfer it to your facility of choice or perform it at Affina. The services listed are the major ones that we provide. Affina Biotechnologies was formed to capitalize on many years of experience of our scientists in assay development through work at contract research organizations, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies and academia. We have developed numerous SPR-based, light absorbance and fluorescence-based assays. The motivation for starting Affina Biotechnologies as a contract research organization was our desire to participate in the drug discovery and development process in the most efficient way possible. We are excited to offer our broad scientific and technical expertise to the life sciences community at a time when the number of drug targets and biomarkers experiences an explosive growth.
We are located in Elmsford, NY in the middle of the tri-state area and in close proximity to the major pharma and biotech companies of NJ, NY, CT and MA. For many of our clients this means that we can be reached by a 2-3 hr drive or a train ride.
We also have clients as far away as Australia and South America and are always available for video or teleconference calls.
Our labs are well equipped with SPR type instruments, plate readers for multi-modal spectroscopy-based approaches and automated liquid handling equipment to handle most assay types.
